Review by hotel critic
Good Ol' Days Resort is a hidden gem nestled right on the Paul Bunyan trail, offering a perfect blend of classic charm and modern conveniences. the Arts & Crafts Style Lodge transports you back in time with its rustic red painted wood ceiling, adding a touch of nostalgia to your stay. The newly built luxurious Lodge-Side 3-Bedroom Cottages provide ample space for creating unforgettable memories with family and friends. the cozy three-season porch sitting area is a favorite spot for sipping morning coffee and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. As a lover of marine conservation and scuba diving, I appreciated the resort's proximity to Lower Cullen Lake, offering stunning views and plenty of activities like fishing and hiking. the heated Tent Party with an ice bar made from actual blocks of ice was a unique experience not to be missed. Even though I visited during the winter months, I could sense the potential for summer adventures, with 700 feet of pristine shoreline, second beach, and docking facilities awaiting exploration. Whether you're looking to unwind by the fireplace in the cozy living room or explore the Brainerd Lakes Area's over 300 holes of golf, Good Ol' Days Resort offers an idyllic backdrop for a truly memorable vacation experience. I look forward to returning with friends to indulge in the full range of activities this charming resort has to offer.
